What the cross means to me

There’s been a lot of words written about a little cross necklace recently. I too wear such a necklace and I’d like to say what the cross means to me and why I wear it.

X  shows there’s a problem – something is not right. The cross shows up all that is wrong in our lives.

X marks the spot, the important event, the most important event in the history of the human race.

X says I love you more than you will ever know. On the cross, the unique God-Man Jesus took upon himself the cost of our rebellion and mended all that was broken.

My cross is the symbol of my daily walk with Jesus. That same journey of faith is open to all, regardless of colour, background, class, gender. I wear it as a constant reminder of the death and resurrection of Jesus, my Lord and my God.
