died at Congleton
may 17^th, 1867
he was for forty three years
 parish clerk and sexton
of this church;
 which offices he filled
with ability , zeal and integrity.

Located in the west entrance.

Rev John Hughes B.A.
Four years curate 
and thirty years incumbent
of this church
born January 30^th 1812
died July 20^th 1872.
also of
Jane wife of the above
died Oct 14^th 1894 aged 84 years.
