“GOD ANSWERS THE PRAYERS OF THOSE

                        FAITHFUL TO HIM”

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power and wonderful results”

                                                       James 5:16

PRAY FOR ALL CHRISTIANS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD

Pray for the many Christians persecuted and killed for their faith in the Lord Jesus. News has reached us of the Churches growing in members; the Iranian Church grows faster than ever, spurred by a fresh sweeping move of the Holy Spirit. Vibrant Christian growth in Iraq, since the liberation some 5000 Iraqis have publicly identified themselves as new followers of Christ. Pray for the many millions meeting together in homes and underground places and hunger for the written word of God.

Pray for our missionary partners serving you throughout the World

PRAY FOR OUR TEAM PARISH.

Pray for our P.C.C. “Away day” held yesterday, that it will have been a spiritually uplifting and challenging day for its members and that the vision seen for the future will continue to develop in practical issues, and for all church members to give them the help and support needed to grow in faith. Pray that God will give each one of us a vision for the future, place it into God’s hands, and to trust Him day by day.

As the busy Christmas season starts to build up, pray for David and Anne, Mike and Charmain, Paul and Georgina, Heather and Alan, and for Mairi as she returns to the fold!.

Pray that Mike’s health be restored to full health and strength; keep them all fit and well to enable them to proclaim the “Good news” of Jesus’ birth at this time of year.

PRAY FOR OUR WORLD.

For the U.K. Government and leaders of the World as they work for peace and justice. Pray for the situations in the Middle East, Palestine, Israel, Lebanon, Iraq,

And Iran. This week, the very sad news of the murder of a Christian Lebanese minister of the government, pray for his family, his church members in northern Beirut .May his death be not in vain, but bring stability and peace to the country.

Remember in your prayers the Reverend Colin Butler who is presently serving in Iraq as Army Chaplain, for his family, Sue, Jenny & Jonathan back in the U.K.

PRAY FOR THE SICK, THE ELDERLY, INFIRM AND THE HOMELESS.

Pray for those we know in hospital having operations, and for those in our church about to face hospital treatment in the near future. Give thanks for the successful return of Tony Wakefield having had hospital treatment twice within the last 6 months- good to have you back Tony!

Ask the Holy Spirit to open our eyes and our hearts to the distress and sufferings of the lonely, the sick and the homeless at this time of the year and to commit them in our prayers.

In your mercy Lord, hear our prayer                            AMEN
